If I lost my Emirates ID how can I apply for ID lieu of lost?
STEPS TO FOLLOWVisit authorized Typing Center to apply in lieu of lost. Show copy of your ID or ID number and expiry date.
If you don't have the above details, Typing Centre can send online request for your ID information. You should give your passport copy with visa page and photograph. You will get SMS from ID authority after 10 minutes of the request sent. Using this SMS information, you can complete ID application from typing centre. Card Reissuing Fee: Dh370).
No need Police Certificate.
Reissuing Fee in lieu of lost is Dh370 for all categories regardless of year. Your ID card expiry date will be same as written in your current visa. If your card lost before a short period of your visa expiry, you can wait till the time of visa renewal. At the time of visa renew, you can follow the above said procedure.
Biometric: You should complete fingerprint after typing the application. You can go to any of the ID Centre attached to Medical Clinic. Take your Original Passport and typed application. This application is valid for two weeks only. If you didn't complete biometrics within 14 days, your application will be cancelled automatically and you will have to pay again.

Emirates ID Renewal: ID card validity is directly linked to the validity of the residency permit, once expired or terminated the ID card Expires.
Required Documents: Original ID Card, Original Passport with valid visa. Service available at the authorized typing centres. No need to visit EIDA Service Centre. Previous fingerprint and photo are enough.You should check your ID application which you received from Typing Centre. If your previous fingerprint was not clear in Emirates ID system it will ask you to do it again. Then you have go to any of the ID Centre attached to Medical Clinic. Take your Original Passport and typed application. This application is valid for two 14 only. If you didn't complete biometrics within 14 days, your application will be cancelled automatically and you will have to pay again.
You will receive SMS from Emirates post to collect the Card from post office. Take ID renewal application with you when you go to Emirates Post to collect your card.
