2. The next of kin has to send a letter stating that he/she has no objection for the burial or transportation of mortal remains and authorizing either the sponsor, close relative/ friend or any other person known to them, to take charge of the body for local burial or transportation to India.
3. The hospital will provide Medical Report or Death Intimation Report. Based on this Police Department will issue Police Report.
4. The details of personal items of the deceased are to be listed in front of some witness and handed over to the authorized representative.
5. The authorized representative has to contact the CW Wing of the Embassy with copies of death documents and obtain No Objection Certificate (NOC) for local burial or transportation to India.
6. On receipt of No Objection Certificate, the mortuary authorities will release the dead body for local burial. They will also issue Burial Permission Certificate for cemeteries for burial.
7. In case of transportation to India, the mortal remains are to be embalmed at mortuary. Saudi authorities have fixed fees (SR.3000/-) for embalming and it is to be deposited with the hospital. Fees for coffin is also to be paid at the mortuary (approx. SR.1100/-).
8. Hospital authorities to be contacted for embalming of mortal remains only after obtaining clearance from Police authorities/ Governorate concerned.
9. Iqama of the deceased is to be submitted with Jawazat (Saudi Passport Deptt.) for cancellation and Exit visa stamp should be obtained in the passport of the deceased.
10. All documents (both in English & Arabic) are to be given to cargo agents for booking the mortal remains.

An affidavit is also to be submitted by the legal heirs to the nearest Airlines office at nearest International/ Domestic airport stating that mortal remains would be accepted by them without any delay from the cargo terminal, on arrival from abroad. The same is to be faxed to the sponsor, cargo agents and to the Embassy. The cargo agency may not accept cargo without this affidavit.

Air India charge for flying human remains from KSA to India: Dh2200 irrespective of destination and weight of the body. There will be a 50 per cent discount in the case of children below 12. (Circular on 04/01/2019).

11. According to the Laws of Saudi Arabia, the family of the deceased may claim death compensation from the causer, if the death is due to work accident, traffic accident or murder.
12. If any worker dies while working due to the fault of any machinery, equipment, etc., then the sponsor of the deceased will pay work accident compensation claim. The claim has to be submitted directly to the sponsor.
13. If any worker dies due to a traffic accident or is murdered, the actual causer of the incident/murderer has to pay death compensation. Police authorities after investigation will fix the percentage of responsibility and the compensation amount may differ accordingly. The death compensation claims are to be submitted to Shariah Court and the Shariah Court Judge will decide the amount. Those who wish to submit claim with Shariah Court should nominate any person known to them as their Attorney. The Ambassador of India/Embassy of India may also be given Power of Attorney to represent their case.
14. After hearing all sides, Shariah Court will deliver its verdict. On submission of verdict copy, Saudi Treasury (Baitul Mal) will release compensation amount. Normally most of the cases are being settled by Shariah court within a period of one year. However, in some cases it takes a few years due to some technicalities/ legal hurdles in the proceedings.
15. All compensation claimants should invariably submit (i) Legal Heirship Certificate (LHC) and (ii) Power of Attorney (POA) to the Shariah Court. Legal Heirship Certificate is being issued by Civil authorities (Revenue/ Tehsil / Mandal) in India and Power of Attorney is to be executed by all the legal heirs of the deceased with Judicial authorities (Notary Public) in India. LHC & POA are then required to be translated into Arabic.
16. English and Arabaic versions of both the LHC and POA are to be attested further by (a) Home / General Admin. Department of respective State Governments, (b) Consular Section, Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi and (c) the Royal Saudi Embassy / Consulate in India. They are to be further attested with Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Justice at KSA and submitted to the concerned Shariah Court for settlement of death compensation claim.

2)ആശുപത്രിയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടു മരണകാരണ റിപ്പോര്ട്ട് വാങ്ങുക ,
3) മരണപ്പെട്ടയാളുടെ ഏറ്റവും അടുത്തയാളോ കൂട്ടുകാരോ വീട്ടുകാര്ക്ക് ഏറ്റവും വിശ്വസ്തനായ ഒരാളെ കണ്ടെത്തുകയും ആ വ്യക്തിയുടെ പേരില് വക്കാല (അധികാരപ്പെടുത്തല്) ഉണ്ടാക്കുകയും വേണം. ഇതിനായി ഈ ചുമതല ഏറ്റെടുക്കാന് മുന്നോട്ട് വരുന്നയാളുടെ പാസ്പ്പോര്ട്ട് ,ഇഖാമ (ഐടി കാര്ഡ്) മരണപ്പെട്ടയാളുടെ പാസ്പോര്ട്ട് ഇഖാമ എന്നിവ എത്രയും വേഗം നാട്ടിലേക്ക് ഫാക്സ് വഴിയോ ഇ മെയില് വഴിയോ എത്തിക്കുക .കൂടെ ആശുപത്രിയില് നിന്നും ലഭിച്ച മരണ റിപ്പോര്ട്ട് (death report )ന്റെ പകര്പ്പ് കൂടി സമര്പ്പിക്കുക.

5) ഇനി ചെയ്യേണ്ടത് സ്റ്റാമ്പ് ചെയ്ത വക്കാലത്ത് പേപ്പറുമായി മരണപ്പെട്ട സ്ഥലത്തെ പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെടുകയാണ്. അവിടെ നിന്നും നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് ലഭിക്കുന്നത് ജനന മരണ രജിസ്റ്റര് ഓഫീസിലേക്കുള്ള (ആഹവാല് മദനി) ഒരു കത്ത് ആയിരിക്കും. ഈ കത്ത് അവിടെയുള്ള ഡയരക്ടരെ ഏല്പിക്കുകയും അവിടെ നിന്നും മരണസര്ട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ് വാങ്ങുകയും ചെയ്യുക (മരണം സംഭവിച്ചു ഒരു മാസം കഴിഞ്ഞാണ് പോകുന്നത് എങ്കില് താമസിച്ചതിനുള്ള ഫൈന് അടക്കേണ്ടി വരും).
6) മരണ സര്ട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റുമായി വീണ്ടും പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനില് തന്നെ മടങ്ങുക, അവിടെ നിന്നും ലേബര് കോടതിയിലേക്ക് ഒരു കത്ത് തരും ,അതുമായി ലേബര് കോടതിയില് പോവുക. മരിച്ചയാള്ക്ക് എന്തെങ്കിലും ആനുകൂല്യം കിട്ടാന് ബാക്കിയുണ്ടെങ്കില് തൊഴിലുടമയുമായി പോയി ലേബര് ഓഫീസറുടെ മുമ്പില് വെച്ച് തീര്പ്പ് കല്പ്പിക്കാവുന്നതാണ്. കമ്പനിക്ക് കീഴില് ജോലി ചെയ്തു വരുന്നവരാണെങ്കില് ഈ തുക അവര് ലേബര് കോടതിയില് സമര്പ്പിക്കുകയും അത് പിന്നീട് എംബസ്സി യിലേക്ക് കൈമാറുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതാണ് പതിവ്. ലേബര് കോടതിയില് നിന്നും ലഭിക്കുന്ന മറുപടിക്കത്ത് തിരികെ പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനില് ഏല്പ്പിക്കുക.
7) ഇനി ചെയ്യേണ്ടത് മരണപ്പെട്ട തൊട്ടടുത്ത കലക്ടര് ഓഫീസില് (അമീര് ഓഫീസ്)ല്. മരിച്ചയായുടെ പാസ്പോര്ട്ട് കോപ്പി, ഇഖാമ കോപ്പി, മരണകാരണ റിപ്പോര്ട്ട്, മരണസര്ട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ്, വക്കാല ചെയ്യുന്ന ആളുടെ പാസ്പോര്ട്ട് കോപ്പി, ഇഖാമകോപ്പി, വാക്കാല കോപ്പി എന്നിവ ഫയലില് ആക്കി സമര്പ്പിക്കുക. അവിടുത്തെ നിയമ നടപടികള് പൂര്ത്തിയായാല് അവര് ഈ ഫയല് തൊട്ടടുത്ത പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനിലേക്ക് അയക്കും. ഇതു ഒരു രഹസ്യ ഫയല് എന്ന നിലയില് ആരുടേയും കയ്യില് കിട്ടുകയില്ല. ഫയല് നമ്പര് മാത്രമേ തരൂ. ഇവിടെ നിന്നും ഇതിന്റെയൊക്കെ ഓരോ കോപ്പി തൊട്ടടുത്ത ജവാസാത്ത്, മൃതദേഹം എമ്പാം ചെയ്യുന്ന ആശുപത്രി, എയര്പോര്ട്ട് മുതലായ സ്ഥലങ്ങളിലേക്ക് ഫാക്സ് വഴി കൈമാറിയിരിക്കും.
8) അമീര് ഓഫീസില് നിന്നുമുള്ള കത്ത് പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനില് ലഭിച്ചാല് അവടെ നിന്നും മരണപ്പെട്ടയാളുടെ പാസ്പോര്ട്ട് ഇഖാമ എന്നിവയും ജവാസാത്തിലേക്ക് തരുന്ന കത്തുമായി സ്പോണ്സറെ കൊണ്ട് ഫൈനല് എക്സിറ്റ് അടിപ്പികുക. തുടര്ന്നു പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനില് തിരികെ ഈ പാസ്പോര്ട്ട് കാണിച്ചാല് അവിടെ നിന്നും മൃതദേഹം സൂക്ഷിച്ച ആശുപത്രിയിലേക്ക് മറ്റൊരു കത്ത് ലഭിക്കും.
9) ഹോസ്പിറ്റലില് നിന്നും ലഭിക്കുന്ന പേപ്പര് മോര്ച്ചറിയില് സമര്പ്പിച്ചാല് മൃതദേഹം വിട്ടുകിട്ടുന്നതാണ്.
10) തുടര്ന്ന് എംബാം ചെയ്യുന്നതിനായി സംവിധാനമുള്ള ആശുപത്രിയില് അത് ചെയ്യുകയും, അവിടെ നിന്നും എയര്പോര്ട്ട് കാര്ഗോ ഓഫീസ് വഴി മൃതദേഹം നാട്ടിലെത്തിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യാം.

3) മരണപ്പെട്ടയാളുടെ ഏറ്റവും അടുത്തയാളോ കൂട്ടുകാരോ വീട്ടുകാര്ക്ക് ഏറ്റവും വിശ്വസ്തനായ ഒരാളെ കണ്ടെത്തുകയും ആ വ്യക്തിയുടെ പേരില് വക്കാല (അധികാരപ്പെടുത്തല്) ഉണ്ടാക്കുകയും വേണം. ഇതിനായി ഈ ചുമതല ഏറ്റെടുക്കാന് മുന്നോട്ട് വരുന്നയാളുടെ പാസ്പ്പോര്ട്ട് ,ഇഖാമ (ഐടി കാര്ഡ്) മരണപ്പെട്ടയാളുടെ പാസ്പോര്ട്ട് ഇഖാമ എന്നിവ എത്രയും വേഗം നാട്ടിലേക്ക് ഫാക്സ് വഴിയോ ഇ മെയില് വഴിയോ എത്തിക്കുക .കൂടെ ആശുപത്രിയില് നിന്നും ലഭിച്ച മരണ റിപ്പോര്ട്ട് (death report )ന്റെ പകര്പ്പ് കൂടി സമര്പ്പിക്കുക.
ഇത്രയും രേഖകള് ഗള്ഫില് നിന്നും ലഭിച്ചാല് നാട്ടിലുള്ള അവകാശികള് ചേര്ന്ന് (അതായത്, ഭാര്യ,കുട്ടികള്, അവിവാഹിതരാണേല് മാതാപിതാക്കള്) എന്നിവര് ചേര്ന്ന് വക്കാല ഏറ്റെടുക്കാന് തയ്യാറായ വ്യക്തിയുടെ പേരില് മുദ്രപത്രത്തില് അധികാരപ്പെടുത്തി നോട്ടറി അറ്റസ്റ്റേഷന് ചെയ്തു തിരിച്ചയക്കുക .( ഒറിജിനല് ആവശ്യമില്ല ,അത് കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ ഇ മെയിലായോ ഫാക്സ് വഴിയോ അയച്ചാല് മതിയാവും) മരണത്തില് സംശയമുണ്ടെങ്കില് പോസ്റ്റ്മാര്ട്ടം ആവശ്യപ്പെടാവുന്നതാണ് / ഇത്രയും കാര്യങ്ങള് മാത്രമാണ് ഇന്ത്യയില് നിന്നും ചെയ്യേണ്ടത് ,,മണിക്കൂറുകള് കൊണ്ട് തീര്ക്കാവുന്നതാണ് ഇതെന്ന് മനസ്സിലായല്ലോ.
4)നാട്ടില് നിന്നും വക്കാല പേപ്പര് ലഭിച്ചാല് മരണ സര്ട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ് ,സ്വകാര്യ വ്യക്തികളുടെ കീഴില് ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്നവാരാണങ്കില് സ്പോണ്സരുടെ നോ ഒബ്ജക്ഷന് ലെറ്റര് ,വക്കാല ഏറ്റെടുക്കുന്ന ആളുടെ പാസ്പോര്ട്ട് കോപ്പി ഇഖാമയുടെ കോപ്പി, മരണപ്പെട്ട വ്യക്തിയുടെ പാസ്പോര്ട്ട് കോപ്പി ഇഖാമയുടെ കോപ്പി എന്നിവ ഇന്ത്യന് എമ്പസി യില് അറ്റസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്യുക..ഇതിനായി അറബിക് തര്ജ്ജമ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതാണ് ( കമ്പനികള്ക്ക് കീഴില് ഉള്ളവരാണ് എങ്കില് ഇന്ത്യന് എമ്പസി യില് നിന്നുള്ള പ്രത്യേക ഫോമില് ആവശ്യമുള്ള വിവരങ്ങള് പൂരിപ്പിച്ചു വേണം അപേക്ഷിക്കാന്) അറ്റസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്ത വക്കാല പേപ്പറുകള് പിന്നീട്, വസാറ ഖാരിജിയ (Ministry of External Affairs ) ഹാജരാക്കി സ്റ്റാമ്പ് ചെയ്യുക.
5) ഇനി ചെയ്യേണ്ടത് സ്റ്റാമ്പ് ചെയ്ത വക്കാലത്ത് പേപ്പറുമായി മരണപ്പെട്ട സ്ഥലത്തെ പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെടുകയാണ്. അവിടെ നിന്നും നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് ലഭിക്കുന്നത് ജനന മരണ രജിസ്റ്റര് ഓഫീസിലേക്കുള്ള (ആഹവാല് മദനി) ഒരു കത്ത് ആയിരിക്കും. ഈ കത്ത് അവിടെയുള്ള ഡയരക്ടരെ ഏല്പിക്കുകയും അവിടെ നിന്നും മരണസര്ട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ് വാങ്ങുകയും ചെയ്യുക (മരണം സംഭവിച്ചു ഒരു മാസം കഴിഞ്ഞാണ് പോകുന്നത് എങ്കില് താമസിച്ചതിനുള്ള ഫൈന് അടക്കേണ്ടി വരും).
6) മരണ സര്ട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റുമായി വീണ്ടും പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനില് തന്നെ മടങ്ങുക, അവിടെ നിന്നും ലേബര് കോടതിയിലേക്ക് ഒരു കത്ത് തരും ,അതുമായി ലേബര് കോടതിയില് പോവുക. മരിച്ചയാള്ക്ക് എന്തെങ്കിലും ആനുകൂല്യം കിട്ടാന് ബാക്കിയുണ്ടെങ്കില് തൊഴിലുടമയുമായി പോയി ലേബര് ഓഫീസറുടെ മുമ്പില് വെച്ച് തീര്പ്പ് കല്പ്പിക്കാവുന്നതാണ്. കമ്പനിക്ക് കീഴില് ജോലി ചെയ്തു വരുന്നവരാണെങ്കില് ഈ തുക അവര് ലേബര് കോടതിയില് സമര്പ്പിക്കുകയും അത് പിന്നീട് എംബസ്സി യിലേക്ക് കൈമാറുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതാണ് പതിവ്. ലേബര് കോടതിയില് നിന്നും ലഭിക്കുന്ന മറുപടിക്കത്ത് തിരികെ പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനില് ഏല്പ്പിക്കുക.
7) ഇനി ചെയ്യേണ്ടത് മരണപ്പെട്ട തൊട്ടടുത്ത കലക്ടര് ഓഫീസില് (അമീര് ഓഫീസ്)ല്. മരിച്ചയായുടെ പാസ്പോര്ട്ട് കോപ്പി, ഇഖാമ കോപ്പി, മരണകാരണ റിപ്പോര്ട്ട്, മരണസര്ട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ്, വക്കാല ചെയ്യുന്ന ആളുടെ പാസ്പോര്ട്ട് കോപ്പി, ഇഖാമകോപ്പി, വാക്കാല കോപ്പി എന്നിവ ഫയലില് ആക്കി സമര്പ്പിക്കുക. അവിടുത്തെ നിയമ നടപടികള് പൂര്ത്തിയായാല് അവര് ഈ ഫയല് തൊട്ടടുത്ത പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനിലേക്ക് അയക്കും. ഇതു ഒരു രഹസ്യ ഫയല് എന്ന നിലയില് ആരുടേയും കയ്യില് കിട്ടുകയില്ല. ഫയല് നമ്പര് മാത്രമേ തരൂ. ഇവിടെ നിന്നും ഇതിന്റെയൊക്കെ ഓരോ കോപ്പി തൊട്ടടുത്ത ജവാസാത്ത്, മൃതദേഹം എമ്പാം ചെയ്യുന്ന ആശുപത്രി, എയര്പോര്ട്ട് മുതലായ സ്ഥലങ്ങളിലേക്ക് ഫാക്സ് വഴി കൈമാറിയിരിക്കും.
8) അമീര് ഓഫീസില് നിന്നുമുള്ള കത്ത് പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനില് ലഭിച്ചാല് അവടെ നിന്നും മരണപ്പെട്ടയാളുടെ പാസ്പോര്ട്ട് ഇഖാമ എന്നിവയും ജവാസാത്തിലേക്ക് തരുന്ന കത്തുമായി സ്പോണ്സറെ കൊണ്ട് ഫൈനല് എക്സിറ്റ് അടിപ്പികുക. തുടര്ന്നു പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനില് തിരികെ ഈ പാസ്പോര്ട്ട് കാണിച്ചാല് അവിടെ നിന്നും മൃതദേഹം സൂക്ഷിച്ച ആശുപത്രിയിലേക്ക് മറ്റൊരു കത്ത് ലഭിക്കും.
9) ഹോസ്പിറ്റലില് നിന്നും ലഭിക്കുന്ന പേപ്പര് മോര്ച്ചറിയില് സമര്പ്പിച്ചാല് മൃതദേഹം വിട്ടുകിട്ടുന്നതാണ്.
10) തുടര്ന്ന് എംബാം ചെയ്യുന്നതിനായി സംവിധാനമുള്ള ആശുപത്രിയില് അത് ചെയ്യുകയും, അവിടെ നിന്നും എയര്പോര്ട്ട് കാര്ഗോ ഓഫീസ് വഴി മൃതദേഹം നാട്ടിലെത്തിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യാം.
സൌദിഅറേബ്യയില് അറിവില് ഒന്നോ രണ്ടോ പ്രത്യേകം സ്ഥലത്ത് മാത്രമേ നോണ് മുസ്ലിംസ്നെ സംസ്ക്കരിക്കാന് അനുവാദമുള്ളു. അത് കൊണ്ട് ഇത്തരം കേസുകളില് എല്ലാവരും നാട്ടിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുപോവുകയാണ് പതിവ്. മുകളില് പറഞ്ഞ കാര്യങ്ങളില് വലിയ സിറ്റികളില് നിയമങ്ങളില് ചില മാറ്റങ്ങള് ഉണ്ട്.
