How to donate blood in UAE?

Donating blood helps everyone, including the donor, with blood donation known to improve health.

The blood can be separated into several components, benefiting others at different levels.

How safe is it? 
Medics have assured people that blood donation is completely safe, even during COVID-19.

All you may be left with is a small bruise, with the body replenishing the blood in 24 hours.

The high safety standards practiced by health professionals ensure no exposure to diseases.

Who can donate blood?
1. good general health.
2. Age group 18-65 years 
3. Weight over 50kg 
4. Healthy blood pressure.
5. Heart rate should be between 50 to 100 bpm 
6. Temperature below 37C
If you are pregnant or lactating, avoid donating blood.

How to donate blood? 
1. Book an appointment.
Call DHA on 800 342 
HAAD on 800 50 or 
MOHAP on 800 111 11.

2. Arrive at the centre of your choice.
3. Sign a consent form.
4. Get a basic health check.
5. Donate blood.
6. Once you are done, relax for a while at the centre.

It is important to take care of your diet, especially during the first 24 hours after donating blood.
A donor card is issued.
