Social support to those affected by the pandemic

These welfare organisations are providing social support to those affected by the pandemic.
If you have been financially impacted by COVID-19, there are several welfare organisations in the UAE providing social support.

Dar Al Ber

Note: As the society processes a certain number of requests a month, the link may not work at times, if the society is not accepting more requests for the month. 
You can also call 04 352 3333 to find out when the applicant can submit the request again. 

List of required documents to seek financial assistance.

To submit request a request for financial assistance, you would need to provide the following supporting documents:
  • Passport and residency visa copies. 
  • Emirates ID copy.
  • Up to date salary certificate/ Non employment certificate 
  • Tenancy contract
  • Proof of school fees
  • Three month bank statement

You would need to provide details of your case, your contact information and any supporting documents.

Sharjah Charity International
To request for financial assistance, visit www.shjc.sharjah.ae/Assistance
Depending on whether you need assistance related to rent, medical or school fees, you would need to provide the necessary documents.

1. Detailed letter in Arabic explaining the negative results and your suffering during the current crisis. 
2. Copy of the ID cards of all family members and valid visa of the husband and his wife.
3. A letter from the sponsor/employer/company confirming that income is stopped with the started date of adjusting/stopping the income. 
4. Three month bank statement.
5. Valid lease/tenancy contract
Organisations require not only the applicant's personal documents - like passport and Emirates ID copies - but also supporting documents related to work permit being cancelled or bank statements to request for assistance.

Send your request for assistance to relief@pad.ae with your case details and supporting documents. Each case is assessed by the welfare team and they reach out to the applicants accordingly.

You need to be an OWWA member to request for financial or social support. The OWWA helpline is 050 558 5536
