The integration of WhatsApp as a booking option aligns with Hala’s focus on adopting digital solutions to improve the customer experience. This simplifies the booking process, providing an alternative for users unfamiliar with the Careem app.

How to Book a Hala Taxi Using WhatsApp

Booking a ride through WhatsApp is straightforward. Users save the number 800-HALATAXI (+971-4252-8294) and send a "Hi" message to begin. They’ll receive prompts guiding them through the booking process, with prices and services remaining the same as those offered via the Careem app.

Multiple Payment Options Available

Hala Taxis offer flexible payment methods, including cash, credit or debit cards, and Apple Pay. However, Hala credits and promo discounts are currently only available through the Careem app.

No Extra Costs for WhatsApp Bookings

There are no additional charges for booking a Hala Taxi through WhatsApp, and fare calculations remain consistent. After each trip, the receipt is sent directly to the WhatsApp chat for customer transparency.

Cancellation Policy for WhatsApp Bookings

Customers can cancel their ride for free within five minutes of booking. If the cancellation occurs after five minutes or the driver has started the journey, a Dhs12 fee is applied.

Careem App for Special Features

For specialized services like Hala Max (six-seater) or Hala Kids (with child seats), and options like ride scheduling or discounts, users will need to book through the Careem app.

This feature is part of Hala’s ongoing commitment to enhance user convenience by making ride bookings more accessible and user-friendly.
