Relief for businesses as additional time is granted for re-exports, temporary admissions and transit goods
Dubai: Dubai Customs has extended the customs duty suspension period for certain customs declarations by another 60 days, bringing the total suspension period to 180 days. The move is aimed at easing financial and administrative pressures on businesses.
The extension applies to eligible customs procedures whose suspension period expires after February 27 and up to October 31, 2026. It covers goods imported for re-export, goods under temporary admission and all types of transit goods. The additional 60 days will be calculated from the original suspension expiry date.
The decision is intended to support businesses and help keep supply-chain operations running smoothly amid current global trade conditions. Under a June 18, 2026 notice, the suspension period had previously been extended to 120 days. The latest Customs Notice No. 17/2026, issued on September 23, extends it further to 180 days. Dubai Customs may also consider further extensions in accordance with the applicable regulations.
