Tourists holding GCC passports, or GCC residency permits can obtain visa on arrival at all Omani border posts by filling up a form at the border.
Additional online portal has been provided for people who wish to save time at the borders. You can apply for an e-visa to enter the country.
Visitors can either fill the visa form at the immigration counters at the border and obtain visas on arrival. On long weekend holidays people were complaining about long queues, so Omani government have provided an additional online service.
So for an easier process apply an online form and pay a fee of Dhs50 if you’re a resident of GCC.
Time: Visa application takes four days to be processed.

+ Upload a passport copy that is at least 6 month valid
+ Upload a picture that is not more than 512 KB.
+ Pay Dhs 50 as visa fee
+ Upon successful payment and application submission, and if approved, you will be getting an electronic visa sent to your registered e-mail

Visa Type: This type of visa is called 29A. However dependents – not in the list of professions – will have to fill out 29B. Dependents may not get their visas or be able to start the process until after the 29A person they are travelling with is approved.
For this reason applicants should allow at least four days for approval but an official at the consulate said it shouldn’t take any longer than 24-48 hours to process.
