Indians in the Gulf and other locations will be able to connect with Indian embassies in their countries of residence and the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi via a new app.

"Global Pravasi Rishta". The name of the portal in Hindi means Global Diaspora Relations portal.

The new facility will enable three-way communication between the Ministry of External Affairs, Indian diplomatic missions abroad and the diaspora. The portal will have the ability to issue emergency alerts and advisories. It will assist in any crisis management and lend a helping hand to the non-resident Indians (NRIs) and persons of Indian origin (PIOs).

Indians in the Gulf can access the portal through the web address http://pravasirishta.gov.in/home then select their country of residence as well as the Indian mission there, then press "submit." This will open up a range of options such as consular access, Indian community affairs in that country and events of interest.

There is a notice board with information and a newsletter with subjects of interest to NRIs and PIOs.

ഗൾഫിലെയും മറ്റ് സ്ഥലങ്ങളിലെയും ഇന്ത്യക്കാർക്ക് അവരുടെ താമസിക്കുന്ന രാജ്യങ്ങളിലെ ഇന്ത്യൻ എംബസികളുമായും ന്യൂഡൽഹിയിലെ വിദേശകാര്യ മന്ത്രാലയവുമായും പുതിയ ആപ്ലിക്കേഷൻ വഴി ബന്ധപ്പെടാൻ കഴിയും.

"ഗ്ലോബൽ പ്രവാസി റിഷ്ട" (ഗ്ലോബൽ ഡയസ്പോറ റിലേഷൻസ്) എന്നാണ് പേര്.

വിദേശകാര്യ മന്ത്രാലയം, വിദേശത്തുള്ള ഇന്ത്യൻ നയതന്ത്ര ദൗത്യങ്ങൾ, പ്രവാസികൾ എന്നിവരുമായി ത്രിതല ആശയവിനിമയം നടത്താൻ ഈ സൗകര്യം സഹായിക്കും. അടിയന്തിര അലേർട്ടുകളും ഉപദേശങ്ങളും നൽകാനുള്ള കഴിവ് പോർട്ടലിന് ഉണ്ടാകും. പ്രവാസി ഇന്ത്യക്കാർക്കും (എൻ‌ആർ‌ഐകൾ) ഇന്ത്യൻ വംശജർക്കും (പി‌ഐ‌ഒകൾ) സഹായം നൽകുകയും ചെയ്യും.

ഗൾഫിലെ ഇന്ത്യക്കാർക്ക് http://pravasirishta.gov.in/home എന്ന വെബ് വിലാസം വഴി പോർട്ടലിലേക്ക് പ്രവേശിക്കാൻ കഴിയും, തുടർന്ന് അവരുടെ താമസസ്ഥലവും അവിടത്തെ ഇന്ത്യൻ മിഷനും തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത് "Submit" എന്ന ബട്ടൻ അമർത്തുക. ഇത് കോൺസുലർ ആക്സസ്, ആ രാജ്യത്തെ ഇന്ത്യൻ കമ്മ്യൂണിറ്റി കാര്യങ്ങൾ, താൽപ്പര്യമുള്ള സംഭവങ്ങൾ എന്നിങ്ങനെയുള്ള നിരവധി ഓപ്ഷനുകൾ തുറക്കും.
