From Dubai, you can take a bus to RAK from Union Square. Ticket cost - Dh20.
From RAK, a bus leaves every two hours from the Al Dhait South bus station.

Holders of expired UAE visit visas should leave by August 11 or avail of grace period

Holders of expired UAE visit visas should either leave the country by August 11, 2020 or can apply for a one-month grace period.

 Visitor or tourist visa holders in the country have one month to leave as of July 12 to avoid fines, but in a new order by ICA, they can renew the 30-day grace period one more time after August 11.

 After which, the entry permit or visit visa holder needs to exit the country to avoid fines.

 Reversal of extension
After the UAE authorities reversed the decision to extend any residency visas that expired during the COVID-19 outbreak, Brigadier Khamis Al Kaabi, the official spokesman of ICA, said that holders of visit visa inside the country whose visas expired after March 1, 2020, will have one month to either change their status inside the country or leave by August 11.

 Moreover, UAE residents with permits that expired after March 1, 2020 will have three months to renew their residency as of July 12.

 The authority has resumed its services and is receiving renewal applications for expired residency visas and ID cards.

Air Arabia passengers from 7 countries need to give 72-hour negative PCR report

Countries include India, Egypt, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sudan, Nepal
Passengers arriving at Sharjah International Airport from seven countries are now required to produce a negative COVID-19 PCR test result, not older than 72 hours prior to departure.

 India, Egypt, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Sudan and Nepal are the countries listed for this requirement.

 Emirates adds two more countries to PCR list
Meanwhile, Emirates has added two more countries from where passengers should submit a negative PCR test not older than 96 hours prior to their flight to Dubai. Nigeria and Sudan have been added to the list of ten other destinations that came under the new regulation, as per an update on the airline’s website.

 These countries are: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, India, Iran, Pakistan, Philippines, Russian Federation, Tanzania and the United States - Dallas Fort Worth (DFW), Houston (IAH), Los Angeles (LAX), San Francisco (SFO), Fort Lauderdale (FLL) and Orlando (MCO), including passengers originating from California, Florida and Texas connecting to an Emirates flight from any airport worldwide to Dubai, the airline posted on its website.

UAE residents returning from India with GDRFA permits not allowed to fly to Abu Dhabi

UAE residents returning from India holding the permit from the General Directorate of Residency and Foreign Affairs (GDRFA) are not allowed to fly to Abu Dhabi from India.

 Passengers must have a permit from the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) to fly to Abu Dhabi, Air India Express has said in an updated notification for passengers flying from India to the UAE.

 Passengers from India with GDRFA permits will be allowed to fly to Dubai and Sharjah only.

 Passengers with expired permits should apply afresh for entry into the UAE.
Etihad also stated that passengers without ICA approval will not be accepted at check-in.

 If your application is successful, you’ll receive a unique ICA approval number, which you will need when your check-in for your flight. If you do not have ICA approval, you will not be accepted at check-in.

 Some passengers, who had booked their tickets to Abu Dhabi, were turned away at airports in India as they carried GDRFA permits.

 Air India Express said its passengers from India to Dubai are allowed to fly if they hold the permit from either the GDRFA or ICA, Emirates stated that passengers holding Dubai residence visa flying back to Dubai “must have return approval from GDRFA.”

 Emirates passengers are also required to have their GDRFA application number to complete their flight booking, the airline said in an update related to repatriation flights to and from Delhi, Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram.
