How to report online scams in UAE?

  You can unexpectedly fall prey to an online scam. This might occur if you carelessly click on a malicious link or unknowingly provide your credit card information on a site that looks legitimate. Following that, you could find your savings lost or your credit card damaged. Here are four simple ways to report online scams in the UAE. 

1. Through 'My Safe Society' App

First you have to download the app and then open it. File a report. You can attach a photo, video, audio file, or website link to show proof of the crime. The app also caters to people of determination, allowing them to request a call or record in sign language.

2. Through MoI App

Open the MoI app, tap on the 'Services' button at the bottom, choose 'Police services' from the sidebar menu, scroll down, and select 'eCrimes services.' Follow the on-screen instructions to file a report.

3. Through Dubai Police's eCrime Service

Visit the Dubai Police website (https://www.dubaipolice.gov.ae/), go to 'Services' at the bottom, click on 'Reports services,' and select 'eCrime.' Then fill out the form and attach any documents or photos that support your complaint.

4. Through Abu Dhabi Police's Aman Service

Go to the Abu Dhabi Police website (https://adpolice.gov.ae/en), click on 'Aman' service, and then 'Submit a case.' Then fill in the details of the scam with your name, mobile number, and email address so the police can contact you.
