UAE Employment Visa: Procedures at UAE Consulate in Thiruvananthapuram

UAE Visa stamping from home country rule effective from 09/11/2016

Step 1: 
Sponsor in UAE will apply Employment Visa for their proposed employees in India.

Step 2: 
Once the employer completed Employment Visa initial approval procedures, sponsor/PRO will receive a message on their registered mobile as follows:

ear Applicant, the initial approval for (NAME)  2393020 has been issued, who has been notified to book an appointment to visit the visa centre. You may book an appointment through the online application on https://visa.mofa.gov.ae/Sponsor/Index.aspx 

Username: Unified Number/Establishment Id         
Password: xxxxxx

 Sponsor should hand over the user name and password to the proposed employee in India.  

 If your sponsor is a company, you may get a work permit approval copy from MOHRE or visa approval details from Immigration. Click here for the specimen copy of visa approval (Umm Al Quwain). Click here for the specimen copy of visa approval (Abu Dhabi)

Step 3: 
With the help of that Username and password the employee/agent can take appointment on https://visa.mofa.gov.ae/Sponsor/Index.aspx

 Appointment is not necessary. You can go walk-in also.

Step 4: Medical: The prospective employee has to do medical from accredited Medical Centre (Gulf Approved Medical Centers Association-GAMCA). 

 Medical Fee at the clinic is Rs4750 +750 (10$) for online booking 

 Online Appointment is must for GAMCA Medical Test. Appointment fee 10 US Dollar should be paid through online. If you are not able to take online appointment, you can depend on GAMCA admin offices spread over the cities. 

Test includes Blood test, Urine test, X-ray & full body check. Click here for the specimen copy of GAMCA Medical report.

Required Documents for Medical: Visa approval reference number, Original passport & two photographs (white background).

+ There are five GAMCA Clinics in Thiruvananthapuram. To avoid delay, you can complete Medical from your nearest GAMCA Clinic.

Step 5:
+ After receiving the Medical Certificate,  the employee should visit Thiruvananthapuram / Delhi consular section with the following documents:

Documents required at the Consulate:

 Medical Certificate.

 Original Passport (Valid for more than 6 Months)

 Visa Reference Paper/number from UAE

 150 AED for attestation of  Medical Certificate from UAE Consulate (Approximate INR 3300).  Payment through Credit/Debit Card only.

We can arrange this attestation using our Credit Card without you standing in the queue. 

6500 INR for Biometric and Visa stamping. This amount should be paid through Forex Card issued by Lulu Exchange near the Consulate. You can pay INR 6500 to Lulu Exchange and get the card.

 No need photo. Eye scan, finger print and photo catching will be done at the Consulate.


Step 6:
When all the formalities are completed at the Consulate/Embassy; the employee will get two month valid entry visa on his/her passport same/next day.

If you have Proof of Visa Application, passport will be released same day. Otherwise, they will keep your passport for one or two days. During this time, your employer in UAE should complete the remaining payment of Labour and Immigration. 

 Same day visa stamping: If your visa is investor / partner or housemaid category or belongs to Free Zone, you can receive your passport same day. 

Passport can be collected by the holder only.

You should enter UAE within the valid period. After entry, you should complete Medical, Emirates ID, Labour Contract & Visa Stamping.

Q: I have got my e-Visa (white colour visa). Should I still go to UAE Consulate in Thiruvananthapuram for the new procedures.
A: No need. New procedure is applicable if you have received only reference number or Proof of Visa Application instead of e-visa. If you have received white or pink visa, nothing to do with UAE Consulate. Procedure is same as before. You can travel directly.

Q: I am from Punjab. My nearest UAE Visa Centre is in New Delhi. But it is very crowded and my employer didn't give me User ID to take appointment. Can I go to Thiruvananthapuram UAE Consulate to complete my visa procedures?
A: Yes, you can go to Thiruvananthapuram UAE Consulate without appointment.

Q: As an agent can you take token in advance for Medical test?
A: Yes, we can take online appointment in advance and we can collect Medical report with original receipt.

Q: I left UAE one year ago. I couldn't go back within the legal period. Now I want to go on Tourist visa to search for a new job. How can I check whether my old visa file is cleared or not?
A: You should approach UAE Embassy/Consulate in Delhi / Mumbai / Thiruvananthapuram with your original passport to check your visa status.

Q: I did medical test from GAMCA Clinic two months ago. But I couldn't go on that visa because of some personal issues. Now I got new visa approval from a new company. When I approached GAMCA Clinic, they advised me to come after 120 days. What should I do?
A: You should wait for 90 days (3 months) to do another medical. Computer system will not accept your passport details before completion of 120 days. read more
