Dubai Traffic fine payments, 7 other services to go fully online

Motorists in Dubai will now have to pay traffic fines and request for installments online with effect from April 1 as these services will no longer be provided in person.

 List of services which will go online by April 1

 Traffic fine payment
■ Request for traffic accident report where no one is injured

 ■ Request for copy of lost traffic accident reports

 ■ Payment of traffic fine installment using credit cards

 ■ Request for traffic clearance certificate

 ■ Request for a report of a traffic accident committed by an unknown person

 ■ Request for a list of traffic fines

 ■ Checking traffic condition

 These online services would add to the list of 13 other services that went exclusively online last year.

 Consumers will have to use online channels including the Dubai Police smart app or website to avail these services. The services will no longer be offered in our customer service desks at police stations or in the traffic department. 

 In the next phase, four services will go exclusively online by July 1. The services include requests for smart impounding of vehicles, fee payment for impounded cars, instalment of traffic fines via cheques and release of impounded vehicles.

 Department has two customer service desks at the Traffic Department. They will be closed for customers and anyone who comes in person will be educated on how to avail the service via smart channels.
